Description:
This spectacular vintage frame was made in America circa 1930’s. It is a French reproduction style made of gilded brass. This frame boasts elaborate detailing of etched ivy leaves along the outer frame edge. A row of etched pansies frame the outer face of the frame, and a leafy etched rope accent the inner border. Each corner is accented with a filigree square with intricate openwork. The sides of the frame show additional openwork with an accent of carved carnelian. The top of the frame is crowned by a porcelain cabochon with a hand painted garden scene.
