Description:
This unusual frame was made in France circa 1890’s. It is made of bronze that has been gilded (18k) and softly hand finished. The border is narrow and delicately etched with a spiral ribbon, and a layer of tiny beads at the inner border. The top, bottom and side rims of this lovely oval are adorned with finely crafted pansies and leaves. The frame is an oval which can sit horizontally or vertically with a slight shift of the gilded metal easel back.
