Description:
Here, we have a magnificent French gilded (18kt) frame circa late 1800’s. The multi-layered beveled outer border begins with a beautiful beaded edge. The center of the border is raised and etched with overlapping laurel leaves, and the inner portion is delicately beaded. A ruby velvet mat surrounds the photo opening (4”x6”). A torch and sheaf crowns the top, with a leafy floral vine on each side. The back is gilded bronze as well. This frame sells for $3950.
