This is a rare collectors treasure. This frame was made in 1881 for Lily Langtree personally. It is made of gilded brass in a floral ribbon and vine pattern with lily details. The frame itself is hand etched glass with gold leaf edges. The photo is signed on the back.

Lily Langtree was one of the Victorian eras celebrated courtesans and a renowned actress. She was born on the Isle of Jersey in the Channel Islands, in England, and was known as the "Jersey Lily".
