This inlaid wood frame is hand crafted in England of solid walnut for Framed On Madison. The back ground is a warm walnut brown color that brings out the natural burl in the wood. The inlaid marquetry is a honey gold tone wood with a narrow black border. The tiny motif inside is a stylized flower in black and a deep red tone. The wood is lacquered to give a glossy sheen. The easel back is made of buckram, a heavily sized fabric that is both sturdy and beautiful. The edges are lacquered black and the profile is ¾ inches.
