This beautiful wood frame is hand crafted in England of solid burled walnut for Framed On Madison. The base is made of a solid wood stained in a rich honey brown color that subtly highlights the unique natural burl. The frame has a unique stripe of marquetry running throughout the border- of a wandering vine with tiny green and red buds. The wood is then lacquered to give a glossy finish. The strutback is made of buckram a heavily sized fabric that is both sturdy and beautiful. The edges are lacquered black, and the border is a bit wider (1 1/8 inches)for a true dramatic appeal
